Nicole Lovald, MS, E-RYT, BCC, Reiki Master

Owner, Yoga Teacher, Life Coach, Reiki Practitioner

Nicole Lovald is the owner of Spirit of the Lake Yoga and Wellness Center and is a master’s level counselor, certified life coach, master reiki healer, and registered yoga teacher. As a natural healer all of her life, she has worked with a variety of populations (at-risk kids, veterans, domestic violence and sexual assault victims and more) in various settings throughout her career.

Working from the perspective that everyone has the tools to heal within them, Nicole guides her clients to uncover their hidden potential and ability to heal. Nicole incorporates mindfulness, breathwork, guided imagery and relaxation, energy healing, as well as mind-body medicine techniques into her practice, when and where it is appropriate for clients.

Nicole works with all ages, from kids who may be struggling with anxiety or school pressures, to adults who are experiencing a life transition, grief, stress, or any other life challenge. She brings in a whole person (mind, body, and spirit) approach to working with her clients therapeutically.

When Nicole isn’t at the Wellness Center or teaching a yoga class, you will likely find her at home playing with her kids, her dog, and relaxing with her husband. She loves to travel and hosts yoga retreats across the world (typically in a tropical location during our frigid Minnesota winter).

Jamie Reinbold, RTT300, RYT200

Thai Yoga Bodywork Therapist

Jamie took his first yoga class in 1993. It was another 15 years before he started attending yoga classes regularly and another eight years when in 2016 after his two kids graduated from high school, he completed his 230 hour yoga teacher training.

In June 2017 he felt his calling to begin Thai Yoga Bodywork Training and studied at the Devanadi School of Yoga & Wellness. In November 2018 Jamie continued his studies in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with Master Ajahn Pichest.

Jamie is an Army Veteran and is in recovery. He puts his experience and training to work by helping others live their best lives. Jamie has found that Thai Yoga Bodywork can assist people with physical or emotional injuries and can support those going through recovery, starting new life patterns and healing from trauma. Jamie creates a safe space for clients with his sense of humor and approachable personality.

Jamie is a 300 hour Thai Yoga Bodywork Therapist as well as a member of the Thai Healing Alliance International. Jamie offers Thai Bodywork healing sessions.

Tiffany Bergin, M.Ed, CIYT, C-IAYT

Yoga Therapist & Functional Nutrition

Tiffany offers 15+ years of success supporting others in finding their balance. She was raised in Hawaii and meditation was one of her first teachers of alignment at an early age. She then went on to study psychology and human behavior which ultimately led me to a Master's degree in Education and working as a behavior analyst. She found the teaching of B.K.S Iyengar in 2004 and has been a devoted student to the principles of integrity and precision in the path of yoga ever since.

After many years of study she became a certified Iyengar yoga teacher and is also certified as a yoga therapist. The therapeutic healing she experienced personally recovering from the traumatic delivery of her first son drove her to explore the depths of yoga therapy. Working with her own spirit and nervous system led her to the practices of Reiki and Nervous System Reset training. After struggling with GI issues most of her life and being someone who was fearful of the consequences of any meal, I naturally gravitated to the study of nutrition and how to heal through food. She is trained through the Functional Nutrition Alliance in functional nutrition.

Tiffany's work centers on identifying the root of imbalances and returning optimal function to the body, mind and spirit.  Through careful consideration, active listening and discerning intuition she offers education to those who are ready to take the next step in finding their alignment.

If the focus is structural, therapeutic and traditional Iyengar Yoga will be the primary focus. If chronic conditions or support with healing and optimization are wanted than she will approach the individual physiology through the lens of functional nutrition. If stress management or nervous system rebalancing is desired, she will bring in modalities such as energetic, nervous system rebalancing practices, meditation and breathwork to restore alignment. Tiffany's goal is to impart the modalities she has developed through personal and professional experience over the years and empower her clients to find their true alignment.

Rosie has been in the wellness industry for 12 years and serves as a board-certified massage therapist.  She specializes in deep tissue and therapeutic massage.  She also practices craniosacral and shiatsu therapies.  Rosie studied at CenterPoint Massage and Shiatsu Therapy School and graduated in 2008.  After graduating, she worked at Lifetime Fitness for 5 years and also worked within metro area hospitals giving in-patient treatments.  Through her work giving post-partum massage in the hospitals, and through experiencing childbirth herself, she became interested in doula work.  In 2015 she trained and added being a birth doula to her health and wellness offerings.

After a few years of experience as a massage therapist, Rosie was asked to assist, train, and eventually teach students of massage therapy at CenterPoint.  She found a deep connection to teaching which awakened a new love of supporting students in the wellness industry.  She maintains her love of teaching through her offerings of various massage and self-care workshops.  In 2018 she enrolled in Spirit of the Lake Yoga Teacher Training program and enriched her love and devotion to her yoga practice.

Rosie is the mother of two vibrant boys and has a loving and supportive husband.  She loves exploring wellness and self-care and hopes to always find new ways of making the world better by loving and taking care of each other.

Melissa Nordness is a Reiki Practitioner and a Registered Nurse with over 30 years’ experience.  She began losing her central vision 10 years ago which led to her leaving the nursing profession.  Longing to continue patient care, Melissa discovered Reiki as a way to continue serving patients through holistic healing.

When Melissa is not walking into Excelsior to go to yoga she spends time with her pups, hanging by her pool and playing in her gardens. In the winter she loves to travel to tropical beaches and camp. In the summer it is likely you will find her enjoying a music festival!

Mona has been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 2002. She is Iyengar Certified at the Introductory II level and continues her teacher training with Chris Sudek from LaCrosse, WI. Off the mat, Mona enjoys knitting, spending time with family, (her granddaughter in particular), snow shoeing in the winter and kayaking in the summer!
